Lab Sessions - Every Monday from 1:00  to 4:00 p.m.

The lab offers:  high speed internet access on all computers, Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FrontPage, Publisher, Digital Image Pro, Streets and Trips and many other popular software titles, scanning of photos, slides and documents, CD burning and limited use of shared printers for instructional purposes along with one-on-one instruction on a lab computer. With over 400 members, knowledgeable members of the club are always in attendance.  Seniors learn from other seniors and they can learn at their own pace. Any club member is welcome to attend.

Lab sessions are ideal for getting those nagging questions answered, such as:

bullet

I just bought a new computer, but don't know the first thing about it.
I don't even know how to turn it on.

bullet

I want to practice email privacy from the start.  How do I copy/cut and
paste and send bcc's from other people's forwarded messages?

bullet

How can I determine if a forwarded message is real or a hoax?

bullet

I can’t find what I want on the internet.

bullet

I lost a file when I thought I saved it.

bullet

I want to check my E-Mail while at the Center.

bullet

I can’t send pictures through E-Mail or, I can’t open pictures sent to me.

bullet

I want to learn to scan and burn CD's.

Experienced users (seniors, like yourself) can and will help you.  Whether it's internet related or word processing, such as MSWord, Works, PhotoShop, other programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Quicken, or making labels and doing graphics, we are there to help.  We can tell if your computer is experiencing problems or if the problem is an experience by which you can learn.  No matter what level of computer experience you now have, you will be welcomed at the club.
