Anthony "Bud" Ryan, Receives Jefferson Award April 30, 2004
Bud Ryan, (Senior Surfers President 1998 - 2005),
was presented the award by Newark Senior Center Director, Jean
Williams, at the annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony.
The Jefferson Awards were established in
1972 to encourage and honor individuals for their
achievements and contributions through public and community
service.
Any local organization
(nonprofit or for profit) that uses volunteers can award as
many as 5 Jefferson Awards Certificates of Excellence to
their best volunteers each year.
